Field Service Engineer

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Equipment Solutions Business (ESB) that provides technical support, on-site installations, troubleshooting, services and repair of complex equipment and systems. This position belongs to ESI Japan K.K. and is to be based in Yokohama office or nearby.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, servicing, and repair of MKS equipment and systems. Ensure our equipment is operating normally.
• Provide basic operational training to customers.
• Customer focus and adhered to escalations procedure. Work with the US Engineering/Quality team to provide technical information for failure analysis.
• Adhere to Global Service procedures and improve operational excellence to increase productivity.
• Support Sales by providing in-depth technical skills and knowledge.
• Act with urgency and professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
• Able to travel overseas for installation and support when required.

Required Skills And Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related Mechanical/Electronics/Control Engineering/Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electronics and Packaging or Equivalent industry.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (In Japanese and English).
• Able to work independently.
• Work with integrity, is ethical and can inspire the trust of others.
• Strong analytic, business and interpersonal skills
• Motivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving.

Others:

Familiar with ESB Products such as Flexible PCB laser processing technologies or CO2-laser-based systems HDI PCB and IC substrate manufacturing will be a plus (but not mandatory).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
