About The Role And The Team:

You will work as part of OP’s Data & AI team, where your focus will be on building and maintaining data flows and ETL/ELT pipelines. OP is making significant investments in data capabilities in line with our business strategy, and we are moving toward cloud-based solutions on the OP Data Platform (Azure). This means you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and a data product–driven mindset.

You’ll join a new team responsible for the Wealth Management cloud data platform and related data products. The team ensures data quality, availability, and integrity, as well as data integrations from source systems to the platform. As a Data Engineer, you will help design and implement scalable and efficient solutions that support our data strategy and meet regulatory requirements.

We work in self-organizing teams using agile methods (Confluence, Jira). We hope you’re already familiar with these tools—or eager to learn. You are goal-oriented, analytical, and skilled at prioritizing tasks, with strong communication and collaboration skills in English. Knowledge of Finnish is considered an advantage. Previous experience in the financial or insurance sector is considered an advantage.

What We Expect From You?

We’re looking for a professional with experience in some of the following areas:

• Cloud architecture
• Data modeling
• ETL/ELT solutions (e.g. Databricks, Kafka)
• Programming (Python, Spark, SQL)
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g. AWS CDK, Terraform, Chef)
• Reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) – a plus
• Strong communication skills in English and Finnish is considered as plus

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything listed above. A versatile technical background and experience in similar roles are highly valued. Most importantly, we are looking for someone eager to learn, grow with us, and take ownership of their role.
