Job Overview
The Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives reports to the Chief Retail Officer and is responsible for driving long-term growth by focusing on expanding and deepening Community and Select Employee Group (SEG) relationships. Your main responsibilities are strategic planning, business development, and innovative efforts to grow membership, enhance member value, and position the credit union as a trusted financial anchor. Additionally, you will assist your team in building long-lasting member relationships to ensure they benefit from our legendary products and services.
What will I be doing?
As a Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives, you will support your Segment Relationship Managers efforts in meeting the strategic initiatives for our members. The following tasks must be executed with high fidelity:
- Lead strategy and execution for SEG and in-branch member growth efforts.
- Build, develop, and lead a phased team of Segment Relationship Managers.
- Design and implement playbook with guidelines for frontline teams.
- Treat Philadelphia as a fresh market to refine the playbook (messaging, events, & outreach).
- Identify and evaluate potential SEGs to expand Citadel’s field of membership.
- Partner with Retail, Commercial Banking, I.T., and Digital Transformation to align efforts and growth cadence.
- Stand up tools & processes to drive performance like CRM enhancements, referral attribution, employer microsites, and financial literacy programs
- Develop and manage pipeline reports related to SEG relationships and growth efforts.
- Championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies (BSA/AML, NCUA, etc.).
- Collaborate with Human Resources recruiters to hire and retain Directors and Managers.
What we are looking for?
The Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives represents Citadel by working on behalf of our external and internal members. To successfully fill this role, you should meet and maintain these skills and values:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on strategic management.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of credit unions and SEG channels.
- Proven success in developing and implementing growth strategies; specifically in community-based environments.
- Experience with member segmentation and data-driven strategy.
- Exceptional decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, Accountability, and Resiliency.
- A fluent English-speaking person.
