Ambu A/S is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist based in our headquarters in Ballerup. The position is open for part time (30 hrs/week) or full time employment.

As our Payroll Specialist you will be part of a payroll team of 2, managing all payroll matters for our employees in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, UK and Ireland.

The payroll team is part of the Parent & EMEA Accounting team in Global Finance & Accounting. This position will report to Director, Parent & EMEA Accounting based in Ambu’s HQ.

Key Responsibilities


The payroll team is responsible for running the internal payroll process for employees of Ambu A/S and for collaboration with external payroll providers in Norway, Sweden, Finland, UK and Ireland. The team is point of contact for our employees on questions related to their payroll.

You will work closely with our People & Culture department on new contracts, changes and resignations. We use SuccessFactors as our HR system.

In close collaboration with your colleague in Payroll, you will:

  • Be responsible for accurate and timely execution of payroll for all countries
  • Handle the monthly bookkeeping, calculate accruals and handle reconciliations
  • Ensure quality in payroll preparation and calculations and correct payroll related accruals
  • Manage pension, social security, taxes and other reporting to authorities
  • Ensure deliveries to the auditors
  • Stay informed of relevant local payroll related regulations in Denmark and ensure that this knowledge is captured
  • Be responsible for deliveries from the external payroll providers and ensure that they are compliant with local regulations
  • Optimize processes related to payroll and maintain process descriptions
  • Support the organization on payroll related matters
  • Play a key role in planning and implementing a new payroll system

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience with payroll processes and systems
  • Accounting experience/background
  • Experienced in Excel
  • Fluent in Danish and high level of English
  • Experience working with external payroll providers is an advantage
  • Experience from a global company is preferred
