Job Description
I. General Summary
- The Senior Manager/Project Executive is responsible for successful coordination and execution of major capital projects at any of the affiliated UMMS hospitals or facilities. Applicable projects may include new buildings, additions, major renovations, or large equipment investments designated by the Senior Vice President of Facilities, Planning, Design & Construction and/or board of directors Major Capital Projects and Facilities Committee.
II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties and/or responsibilities performed by personnel so classified.
- Accountable for accurate project reporting to hospital and system management and user groups during project planning and design. Coordinates technical design information and assures proper sign-offs through the design process.
- Manages the architectural, engineering and interior design consultants for projects in accordance with systemwide policies and procedures.
Qualifications
III. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or equivalent experience required.
- Seven years of progressive experience in construction and project management. Three years of relevant senior level management experience.
- Extensive experience in civil engineering, architecture and construction project management. Proficient in detailed budget estimation, scheduling, contract negotiations, public approvals, project reporting, market research, and general project coordination.
IV. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Detailed knowledge of all phases of construction and building projects.
- Knowledge of the organizational complexities of a major medical school, teaching hospitals and community hospitals.
- Strong skills with cost information management systems, cost estimating, and project costing.

Pay Range: $57.87-$92.4
