Join West Fraser’s Corporate Supply Chain team and play a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence, compliance, and value creation across our North American operations. You’ll blend data analysis, process improvement, and strong business partnering to ensure we obtain the best value for money while managing risk and maintaining rigorous controls in a publicly traded environment.
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Corporate Procurement & Compliance Analyst provides analytical support to the Corporate Supply Chain Team and oversees the delivery and compliance with West Fraser’s procurement policies, processes, and controls. Utilizing their proficiency and knowledge in procurement and ERP systems, the Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the organization obtains the best value for money, while balancing risk and financial exposure, and establishing and implementing efficient procurement-to-pay processes. The incumbent will build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide training to both mill and corporate staff, ensuring that West Fraser’s Corporate Procurement Policy is adhered to.
The Corporate Procurement & Compliance Analyst will be based out of the Quesnel Corporate Office and will be required to travel up to 25% of the time to areas where West Fraser operates across North America.
You'Ll Do:
- Auditing of procurement activities for both Corporate and Mill level purchases in line with the requirements outlined in the Procurement Policy.
- Responsible for the ongoing vendor spend analysis for North America. Identifying opportunities to consolidate spend, improve controls and pursue new strategic partnerships.
- Reduce risk and exposure by auditing documentation related to high-dollar value purchases, including sole sourcing justifications, RFQs and quotations.
- Support the Supply Chain Team with data analysis in relation to vendor review and negotiations.
- Support Vendor Master governance.
- Perform the first-pass review of capital appropriation requests, ensuring all documentation has been attached and the procurement policy has been followed.
- Working closely with the Supply Chain Team, establish a continuous improvement process and operating rhythm to systematically review and improve the processes and policies related to all Procurement activities within the organization, including creating, updating and maintaining related documentation.
- Provide training to Corporate and Mill level employees to ensure compliance and best practices are being utilized throughout the organization.
- Testing and implementation of ERP and Maintenance system projects and updates as they relate to the Procurement modules.
- Continuously improve and streamline procurement processes, supporting technologies, and tools with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency.
- Work closely with the Master Data team to develop and maintain procurement KPI’s.
- Maintain the Contract Manager application, entering new contracts and monitoring existing contracts for key milestone dates.
- Special projects and tasks as assigned.
You Have:
- 5+ years’ experience in a procure-to-pay (P2P) or procurement function within a publicly traded organization.
- Strong understanding of SOX-related control requirements and procurement governance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and/or maintenance systems; Maximo experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modelling) and comfort working with large datasets; exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, prioritize, and build rapport across Corporate and Mill stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through collaboration and drive change constructively.

What We Offer:
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position is $77,000-$91,000, which may vary depending on location, education, and relevant experience.
