About the Team
The Network Load Balancing team is responsible for ensuring the high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications and services by distributing incoming network traffic across multiple servers. Their main tasks include designing and implementing load balancing solutions using F5 load balancers. The team configures and maintains load balancers, monitors system performance and health, and manages failover and security measures like SSL/TLS and DDoS protection. They collaborate closely with DevOps, application, and security teams to support deployments and maintain seamless service operation.
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to design, implement, and manage complex load balancing solutions that ensure high availability and optimal performance of networked applications. The Senior Network Load Balancing Engineer leads the configuration and maintenance of both hardware and software load balancers, troubleshoots advanced network and traffic issues, and optimizes load distribution strategies. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support scalable deployments, enforce security best practices, and continuously enhance system reliability. Additionally, the engineer mentors junior team members and drives automation and process improvements within load balancing operations.
- Roles & Responsibilities
- •Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing solutions using F5 BIG-IP platforms
- •Design and implement redundant and highly available load balancing architectures.
- •Monitor load balancer performance, server health, and traffic flow using tools such as SNMP

- •Ensure load balancing infrastructure complies with security standards and support WAF, and DDoS protection where applicable.
- •Document system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- •Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents impacting application delivery.
- Years Of Experience
- • 5 years of Experience in F5 Load Balancers
- • 3 years of Experience in Infoblox IPAM Solution
- Required Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- • 5 years of experience supporting a large enterprise network
Primary Skills (must have)
• 3 years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting f5 Load balancers with solid understanding of Load balancing mechanisms
• 3 years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting of iRules, SSL offloading and Data groups
• Solid knowledge of modifying Traffic Behavior with Profiles, Health Monitors, DNS and Global Traffic management
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, AS3 implementations and REST API Integrations
• Strong Knowledge of Load balancing concepts, SNATs, Persistence, content Switching (OSI Layer 4-7 Switching), Caching and Content Delivery
• Basic knowledge of Networking: OSI Layer 2 (Spanning tree, vPC, LACP, VLAN, etc), Layer 3 switching /routing (OSPF, BGP, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP, network virtualization ( VRF), basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP
• 3 years of experience in maintenance and support of solution components (e.g. patching, upgrades, capacity reviews, lifecycle management)
- Secondary Skills (desired)
- • Good knowledge of Network/Infrastructure Security technologies (Firewall, Access control, Cisco Routers, Switches, Access points)
- • Good understanding of Data Centre and its components like Network, Server & Application environments
- • 3 years of infrastructure engineering experience working across multiple domains, platforms, or specialty areas
