About Hashgraph:

Hashgraph is a fast-growing software company committed to supporting, developing and servicing Hedera, an open source, proof-of-stake platform. Hedera is EVM-compatible and has been specifically built to meet the needs of enterprise and Web3 applications, which require speed, security, stability and sustainability. Hedera’s public network is governed by industry-leading organizations, spanning 11 sectors and 14 regions who oversee the development and direction of the decentralized platform.

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the HashSphere engineering team. You will help design, build, and integrate key product features for enterprise businesses built on Hiero, for our private distributed ledger technology. This is a greenfield project at the cutting edge of decentralized systems and cloud technologies, with a focus on security, privacy, and scalability.

In this role, you will leverage your software development skills, distributed systems engineering experience, and understanding of modern SRE and DevOps practices to deliver core platform services. You will partner with globally distributed teams and contribute to a highly scalable, mission-critical infrastructure product used by some of the largest companies in the Finance, Supply Chain, and Healthcare industries.

If you have experience building modern REST or gRPC APIs, designing scalable, reliable, and secure architectures, and have a strong growth mindset, this may be the ideal role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product Development team to transform customer requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Partner with the head of SRE to shape the strategic roadmap and functional architecture for current and future product needs.
  • Develop and implement a strategy for leveraging and integrating open-source technologies, especially those from the Linux Foundation's Decentralized Trust ecosystem (Privacy, Identity, Interoperability, and Cryptography).
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of APIs, integrations, and platform services that interoperate with the core HashSphere DLT network.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering leads across the organization: stay abreast of emerging Hedera native technologies/features, develop adoption/integration strategies for HashSphere, and advocate for feature development work.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and operational support of core HashSphere infrastructure services and customer deployments.

Qualifications

You would be an ideal candidate if you have:

Required Skills & Experience

  • Software Development: Proven experience designing and implementing modern, cloud-native, distributed web services and APIs (gRPC/REST) using Golang or Javascript/NodeJS.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, security, and network architecture, with a focus on multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and supporting technologies, including advanced development and management of Helm charts, CRD development, Secrets management strategies, and Docker best practices.
  • Automation: Solid experience with automation and infrastructure configuration management tools like Argo and Terraform.
  • DevOps Practices: Proficiency in modern software development practices such as Gitflow development workflow, GitHub Actions, and automated testing and promotion pipelines.
  • Compliance: Experience working in an industry that requires adherence to compliance and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar.

Nice-To-Have Skills & Experience

  • Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT):
    • Familiarity with blockchain and DLT implementations in a private or consortium model.
    • Hands-on experience with the Hedera DLT, including using the Hedera SDKs, working with the Hedera Smart Contract Service, and understanding key services like the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) and Hedera Token Service (HTS).
    • Familiarity with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and the Smart Contract ecosystem (Solidity, Hardhat).
  • Observability: Knowledge of observability tools for network monitoring (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus).

Industry Experience: A background working in a highly regulated industry such as financial, healthcare, or public sector/government.
