We are hiring for a Senior Customer Engineer to build sophisticated AI agents with our customers to solve real world problems at the edge of AI capabilities. On a daily basis, you will work directly alongside customer teams co-owning the agent development process from prototypes to production. You will also be our tip-of-the-spear contributing learnings from the real world implementations back to the LangChain product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to co-architect and co-build next-generation AI agents and applications, working shoulder-to-shoulder from design and architecture through production deployment.
- Lead technical design sessions to scope, align on implementation approach and ensure customers adopt sound architectural choices for performance and reliability.
- Partner with sales and pre-sales engineering to define implementation strategies for customers, accelerating the value customers can derive from our platform.
- Synthesize customer feedback and identify friction points to inform the product roadmap, collaborating with product and engineering teams to improve the user experience.
- Stay current on emerging AI trends and translate them into actionable solutions and technical guidance as applicable to customers.
What We'Re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in a technical, hands-on customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Forward Deployed Engineer. We also like former founders, so if you have an unusual background, but all the right skillsets, your welcome to apply
- 1+ year of hands-on agent engineering experience with deep Python or TypeScript skills, preferably using LangGraph
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to developers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working directly with customers to define scope, clarify requirements, and prioritize implementation steps that deliver the greatest value first
- Strong judgement and able to operate independently while keeping customers and others updated on progress
- A bias for action: thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and can juggle multiple complex projects.
- Bonus points for experience in enterprise environments and cloud-based systems using technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
Location: San Francisco or New York.
Comp: $160K-$200K
