General Summary

The Facilities Building & Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading studio equipment and building systems to ensure smooth operations, uphold studio standards, and minimize production downtime. 

Job Functions

  • Install, modify, upgrade, and maintain equipment throughout the facility, including production machinery, tooling, forklifts, scissor lifts, and company vehicles.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot machine shop and wood shop equipment (e.g. table saws, knee mills, lathes, grinders, band saws, water jets, etc.).
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and safety inspections, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
  • Track and follow up on all maintenance requests and work orders to ensure completion.
  • Oversee inventory and procurement of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for guidance and procedural support.
  • Participate in research, selection, and installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Support maintenance contracts for studio equipment and keep records current.
  • Stay up to date with manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety advisories.  

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance.
  • Certification in specialized maintenance field, a plus.
  • Knowledge of CMMS programs.
  • Experience with laser/water jet cutters and automated machinery center, a plus.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and finding innovative solutions to problems.  
  • Motivated and resourceful, with strong communication skills and the ability to successfully manage concurrent projects. 
  • Experience with HVAC systems, a plus.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works under typical office conditions and is exposed to variable indoor temperatures; occasionally may include working outside in inclement weather and working from ladders, lifts or  other above ground locations. The noise level is usually quiet or moderate.

Salary
