Operational Environment & Safety Manager

In This Role, You'Ll:

In this role you will lead the development and monitoring of safety and environmental objectives, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation while proactively managing risk. You will manage accredited management systems, provide expert advice to senior leaders, and drive cultural change by promoting accountability and best practice across the business.

A key focus will be developing and facilitating training and capability-building programs, conducting audits and inspections, and maintaining strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

The role is based at the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with an expectation to attend the office on most days.

About You

You will bring practical, hands-on WHS experience gained within an infrastructure or transport related environment, with the ability to engage effectively with frontline staff and foster a positive safety culture. Skilled in regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational safety, you can identify gaps and lead corrective actions to ensure safe and sustainable outcomes.

Your engaging leadership approach enables you to influence cultural change through stakeholder engagement and the promotion of safety and environmental awareness across diverse teams. With experience in developing and delivering targeted training and induction programs, you are able to build workforce capability and support the adoption of safe work practices.

While not essential, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded.
