The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a key member of the monthly financial close process and daily finance operations. This role participates in all aspects of accounting, including sales reporting and invoicing, inventory reporting and COGS, banking and treasury management, audit and tax compliance, internal controls development and compliance, financial systems improvements, and other operational ad hoc requests. The position reports to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, and works closely with the Planning & Analysis and Operations teams.

The Oppportunity

  • Validate and summarize monthly sales
  • Prepare month-end sales and AR reports for consolidation deadlines
  • Review and approve weekly payment runs
  • Review weekly cash flow and support cash flow planning
  • Review weekly business expenses
  • Develop and maintain internal controls requirements
  • Drive improvements in the month-end close process
  • Provide audit support
  • Streamline NetSuite custom reports
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as requested

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (or in progress)
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, data validation, sorting, filtering)
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce, and inventory accounting preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, and Tipalti is an asset
