We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to support a Federal program focused on enhancing cybersecurity initiatives through data visualization and analytics. This role involves performing in-depth data analysis, developing analytical models, and creating interactive dashboards and reports to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders and Data Engineers to define data requirements and facilitate downstream development.
You Are: A Data Scientist
The Work:
- Perform in-depth data analysis to derive actionable insights, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Develop and maintain analytical models to support data-driven decision-making.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using DataBricks.
- Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve BI solutions to enhance user experience and meet evolving business needs.
- Explore data to identify potential insights and metrics, and determine how data should be structured.
- Work iteratively between front-end and back-end to structure data for visualizations.
Here’S What You Need:
- Desire to experiment with new DataBricks features (e.g., BI Genie, Agentic AI).
- Willingness to conduct independent research and problem-solving; ability to leverage resources such as Google or team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to explore client problems with minimal prompting.
- Proven experience in data science and analytics.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, PySpark) and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or preferably DataBricks native dashboarding tools.
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to demo products and tell a compelling story to clients.
- Solid understanding of analytical model development and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent collaboration skills in a fast-paced team environment.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in the Cybersecurity domain.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
