Overview
As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, EMEA, you will be part of the Global HR Operations & Total Rewards team, providing HR support across Spain, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. You will partner closely with in-region HR Business Partners and the Talent Management team to deliver seamless HR operations, ensure compliance with local labour laws, and support programs that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Hr Operations
- Manage the employee lifecycle from contract signature through completion of probation, including pre-onboarding, onboarding, HR orientation, employee touchpoints, and documentation management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with regional labour requirements and internal standards.
- Manage time and attendance data in HR systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and labour regulations, supporting payroll processing, and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee immigration and work authorization processes for international employees, including NIEs, visas, and renewals, in coordination with external partners.
Compliance
- Stay current with labour and employment legislation in supported regions (Spain, UK, Ireland), advising on and supporting implementation of required changes to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company’s H&S Policy, Equality Plan, and LGBTI Plan, ensuring alignment with Spanish legislation and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Assist in preparing for labour inspections and audits.
- Provide legal compliance support in employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, and sensitive or complex cases.
HRBP & Talent Management Support
- Partner with in-region HR Business Partners to deliver key HR and talent programs, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption across the organization.
- Support employee relations and performance management activities, including documentation, follow-up, and coordination of next steps.
- Collaborate with the Talent Management team to support delivery of global initiatives within EMEA.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally across multiple EMEA regions.
- Strong working knowledge of Spanish labour and employment legislation and immigration compliance processes.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and compliance processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships at all levels.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity with sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, and/or HR certification.
- Experience with ADP, Woffu or other HRIS/timekeeping systems.
- Prior experience supporting labour inspections or audits.
- Knowledge of UK and Ireland labour legislation and immigration processes.
- Familiarity with health & safety, equality, and DEI initiatives in an HR setting.
