UXO Safety Officer - Indian Head, MD

Location: Indian Head,Maryland,United States

USA Environmental, Inc. is seeking a UXO Safety Officer for construction support at its upcoming project at Indian Head, MD. 

The tentative start date is October 6, 2025 and demobilization date is January 31, 2026.

Qualified candidates must meet DDESB-TP18 requirements for a Safety Officer to include:

• Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia, or Graduate of a UXO-TI Course or the EOD assistant’s course;
• Has never been removed from an UXO assignment for personnel reliability reasons or unsatisfactory performance of duties, substantiated by official documentation;
• Graduate of an OSHA-compliant (29 CFR 1910.120(e)(4)) 8-hour Management and Supervisor Training Course;
• Possesses an understanding of applicable explosives safety criteria and experience in the various phases of a munitions response to MEC or the conduct of range clearance activities, as appropriate for the operations to be performed;
• Must have completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training and earned a Department of Labor Construction Safety Course Completion Card;

Eight (8) or more years of documented experience in performing range clearance operations.  Experience may be a combination of both active duty military EOD experience and contractor UXO experience as defined in the current DDESB TP-18 (10 years required for UXO-T1 Course graduates). A minimum of .5 years MEC supervisory experience for EOD school graduates and 2 years MEC supervisory experience for UXO-TI course graduates.
