Paralucent Marketing is in pursuit of an accomplished Content and Creative Director. We are a dynamic, boutique, and multiple-award-winning marketing agency. This role is for a seasoned executive ready to lead a small but ambitious team to produce projects and campaigns that drive impact.
A content and creative director is a senior-level leader who creates, oversees, and executes our client and our organization's overall content strategy across multiple platforms. The core function is to ensure that all content aligns with brand identity and business objectives. This leader also leads and oversees the creative vision for a brand, campaign, or project. The role is responsible for the high-level artistic and creative decisions, while guiding and managing a team of creative professionals to produce the final output.
Key Responsibilities
Creative strategy and vision: Develop the overall creative strategy and concepts for marketing campaigns, products, or publications, ensuring they align with business objectives and target audiences.
Team leadership and management: Supervise, mentor, and inspire creative teams, which may include graphic designers, copywriters, art directors, photographers, and video producers.
Project oversight: Oversee the entire creative process, from initial concept development and brainstorming to final execution and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Brand consistency: Define and enforce brand guidelines to ensure a consistent visual identity, tone, and message across all media and platforms.
Content strategy and vision: Develop a comprehensive, full-funnel content strategy, including lifecycle content, that aligns with the organization's goals and target audience needs.
Content production oversight: Lead and manage content teams (including writers, designers, and video producers) to ensure the timely creation, editing, and publication of high-quality content across all channels.
Multi-channel content management: Oversee content initiatives across a variety of platforms, such as websites, blogs, social media, email newsletters, and other marketing collateral.
Performance analysis: Track and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics to measure effectiveness and inform future content decisions. Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
Brand consistency: Ensure that all content maintains a consistent brand voice, style, and tone to reinforce the company's identity.
Search engine optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices and keyword strategies across all content to increase search visibility and organic traffic.
Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, creative, and product, to ensure content supports broader organizational goals.
Innovation and trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest content formats, industry trends, and emerging digital platforms to keep the content strategy fresh and relevant.
Budget and resource management: Manage the content budget and allocate resources effectively across various projects and initiatives.
Team leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor content creators and other team members, fostering an environment of creativity and high performance.
Client and stakeholder management: Present creative concepts and strategies to clients or senior executives, effectively articulating the vision and addressing feedback.
Budget management: You are aware and can work inside the creative budget for projects and the department.
Industry and trend knowledge: Stay informed on the latest trends in design, advertising, and digital media to produce innovative and relevant work.
Requirements
- At least 5 years leading creative and content for a top-tier marketing or creative agency.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- A composed nature suited to dynamic agency life.
- Exemplary writing and verbal skills, essential for client interactions and team management.
- A proven track record in managing marketing and creative teams.
- A robust understanding of the marketing and creative fields, ready to take the lead in such discussions.
