• Reports to: Manager of Prefabrication
• Location: Gahanna, Ohio
• Pay Range: $20 - $27 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)

Superior is looking for a CNC Operator to produce high-quality electrical components by setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) equipment. This role is key to supporting fabrication at our Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Facility by ensuring that all parts meet precise specifications and quality standards. This role is based at our Advanced Logistics and Manufacturing Facility (ALF) in Gahanna, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to fabricate electrical components
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Load raw materials and safely unload finished parts
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and adjust as needed
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
• Document production runs and inspection results accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company and OSHA safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
• Required: You can read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Required: You have strong mechanical aptitude, solid math skills, and can accurately measure with a tape measure (experience with calipers/micrometers is a plus)
• Required: You can stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 75 lbs
• Required: You are willing to wear PPE and follow all safety requirements
• Required: You have an active forklift certification or are willing to obtain one 
• Bonus Points: You have experience with CAD/CAM, Autocad, Vcarve, and Maxcut software
• Bonus Points: You have completed a CNC certification or vocational training program
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
