SDET – Product Development

Job Description:

Experience: 10+ years

Mandatory skills: Playwright automation and development, Typescript or any language, automation, performance testing, API Automation / API Testing, create test tool

Please note that this position is combination of testing and development. It’s an individual contribution role so we need strong candidate in development as well as in automation testing. There would be 2 rounds of interview from client. 1st round would be 30 mins call and 2nd round would be 60 mins including code challenging.

Overview

This position is responsible for contributing to and reviewing the creation of designs for production software. Responsibilities include software development and testing tasks and focus on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software.

Responsibilities:

• Leads Product Test Automation effort and sets up frameworks on multiple application platforms.
• Acts like as a Test Automation consultant to Product Development Teams.
• Communicates effectively with the Development teams to ensure proper test coverage.
• Develops test tools to assist in the testing of complex products/features.
• Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
• Actively collaborates with developers to advocate for Code Quality and Testability
• Researches and stays on top of new and emerging Software quality and testing technologies.
• Mentors junior SDETs in Test Automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Has a good understanding of good coding practices.
• Has prior experience in working with the development team to improve testable code.
• Has experience building test tools from scratch to support the test infrastructure.
• Experience writing Unit Tests and coaching developers in writing Good Unit Tests is required.
• Experience with Playwright is required
• Experience writing integration tests to test the data flow between different services is required.
• Experienced in building automation frameworks and tools for UI and Integration testing is required.
• Must have experience testing Microservices.
• Experience in C#, Typescript strongly preferred
• Experience writing SQL queries, SSMS, and PostgreSQL is required.
• Must have good leadership skills and mentoring skills
• Must be able to work as part of a self-organizing team in which you determine your tasks daily in coordination with coworkers rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you.
• Must be Self-motivated, Independent, Collaborative and Adaptable.
• Experience with Performance / Load testing is beneficial.
• Experience with using AI tools and techniques for Testing and Test Automation is beneficial
• Design Patterns - POM (Page Object Model) and Enhanced POM.
• Frameworks hybrid-driven, data-driven, keyword-driven, behavior-driven development, Cucumber, etc.
• Experienced in using version control software such as Gitlab, Tortoise SVN, GitHub etc., and a continuous integration tool, Jenkins preferred.
• Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and React.
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Datadog and Kibana
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and how they impact testing.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of various test methods and corresponding tools.

Education

• Must have a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience focused on test automation.
