Summary Of Job Duties:
Responsible for managing of financial records of UA-PTC’s funds at the University of Arkansas Foundation and overseeing the preparation of financial reports. Responsible for applying his or her professional knowledge and skills in the preparation and presentation of financial and other decision-oriented information to assist the Vice Chancellor of Advancement, Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, and Chancellor in planning. Additionally, the Advancement Financial Analyst I will manage the Advancement Division’s annual budget and serve as the purchase card holder Provides financial information to the Vice Chancellor of Advancement by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Executes the UA-PTC Foundation scholarship program.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses for UA-PTC’s foundation accounts, Advancement Office, and CHARTS.
• Collaborates with the Associate Vice Chancellor of Finance and Controller to ensure all foundation expenses flow through Workday properly; problem-solve when issues arise; create the “Consolidated Customer Invoice” monthly; and monitors all expenditures to ensure that they meet donor intent.
• Manage all budgets for the Advancement Office
• Manage all accounts payable, scholarships, program expenses and special events through Workday, P-card, and T-card transactions
• Submit any journal entries for in-kind donations, pledges, write-offs and adjustments as needed through Workday
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements through Workday.
• Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the donor management databases including, but not limited to Donor Perfect, Constant Contact, and Give Smart.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Maintains donor confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to problems.
• Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and disbursements.
• Develops reports for the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, Chancellor, Foundation Board of Directors, and Board of Visitors summarizing activities.
• Involved in the strategic planning and the development of financial procedures.
• Analyze and interpret financial information that the Vice Chancellor of Advancement needs in order to make sound decisions.
• Manage the Foundation’s scholarship program including working with the board’s scholarship committees, soliciting applications, scheduling interviews, record-keeping, award notifications, and follow-up with recipients to make sure all donor requirements are met.
• Maintain contact with scholarship donors and provide timely reports on award winners
• With the Vice Chancellor of Advancement, expand the scholarship program to increase number and amount of scholarships received
• With the Vice Chancellor of Advancement and Advancement staff, serve on special event committees to assure successful activities.
• Research, write, and submit funding and sponsorship proposals to private foundations, corporations, and individuals as needed. Acknowledge and steward donors through invitations to campus events, sharing of update reports, and other strategies to grow donor relationships.
• Manages budget, contracts, planning and staff development.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 2 years financial experience, including budget management
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to develop long-term relationships with diverse constituencies.
- Experience/education may be substituted for education/experience requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous fundraising experience
- Proficiency in Workday, Microsoft Office Suite applications, and donor databases
