Job Description

The individual in this role leads global marketing-related activities across commercial strategy, customer engagement, and insights. They partner with Global Marketing (GM) and franchise teams to drive data-driven launch execution, product pipeline tracking, and forecasting. This role oversees primary market research function and analytics and insights support for business development. The role will syndicate global franchise-related activities across commercial strategy, connecting strategic forecast & planning, and payer/pricing to guide global and brand decisions. The leader will also connect insights across global, US, and Human Health International (HHI) teams to shape pre-launch and launch strategy, with a focus on innovation in launch excellence and customer-centric solutions. The role will report to Senior Vice President, Digital Human Health (DHH).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as strategic lead for Digital Human Health (DHH) capabilities to global franchise teams (Oncology, Vaccines and Infectious diseases and Pharma), ensuring digital and insights capabilities are available across product life-cycle
  • Supports demand prioritization and quarterly business reviews in collaboration with franchise leaders
  • Facilitates franchise leader/senior leadership discussions and finalizes global guidance and long-range operating plans in partnership with finance and Human Health (HH) leadership
  • Partners closely with franchises on business development and pipeline asset evaluation
  • Enables and informs strategic forecasting and business planning across the commercial portfolio
  • Leads commercial pipeline tracking, forecasting & optimization analytics to inform global launch and lifecycle strategies
  • Ensures connectivity across DHH capability teams in support of Global marketing business priorities
  • Establishes early commercial marketing frameworks and leverages scenario planning and simulation models to support product launches
  • Oversees global primary research function (payer insights, patient journey mapping, message testing) for franchises
  • Standardizes research methodology and governance across global franchises
  • Builds and scale a high performing team anchored on applied data, analytics and technology knowledge coupled with therapeutic area expertise for our launch portfolio

Educational Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific or business-related field;
  • Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD, PhD)
  • Strong leadership across matrixed environments and large cross-functional teams
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through evolving enterprise capabilities at scale
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills with senior global executives
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on driving innovation across digital engagement and analytics
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, including collaboration with marketing, analytics, tech, finance, and regional teams

Behavioral Competencies Required:

Functional Competencies Required:

  • Deep therapeutic area (TA) knowledge in Oncology, Rare Diseases, Vaccines, and Pharma, including strategic implications across launch and pipeline products
  • Ability to translate global franchise business needs into digital, data, and insight-driven solutions (e.g., GAIN, ClearSight)
  • Understanding of how digital/ data and analytics functions collaborate with Finance and market-level stakeholders
  • Experience shaping and implementing global engagement models within commercial digital organizations
  • Expertise in strategic forecasting to support launch planning and lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated success deploying global capabilities and tailoring them for regional or local execution
  • Proven track record of leading globally distributed teams to deliver aligned, enterprise-wide solutions

Experience Requirements:

  • 15+ years in global commercial strategy, life science consulting, or marketing within life sciences or related fields
  • Experience in data driven decision making and related digital decision support tools

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$276,600.00 - $435,400.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
