Role And Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities
Product and Range Management – build and deploy the right range to deliver against the business goals and objectives. Establish true range, specification and price logic behind the category/range architecture.
PVP – articulate this range with strong, compelling and sharp product value propositions that allow for successful marketing execution.
Price Management – own price positioning, build pricing logic and set pricing and promotional guidelines where required.
Launch Excellence – Pre launch planning and Post launch tracking. Ensuring complete delivery of all required launch tools to improve market impact and investment efficiency. Take ownership of translating LMP (global launch master plan) into robust LLP (local subsidiary launch plan).
Business Performance – take ownership and coordinate key performance indicators with an emphasis on revenue, price, mix, and profit.
Market Knowledge – analyse, understand and interpret market research data and competitor analysis to craft and steer the business direction. Identify new opportunities or corrective actions to existing business to ensure the business stays agile and is always able to capitalise on changing market dynamics.
Product Pipeline – ensure the needs of the business, markets and specific consumer requirements are included in the future product roadmap. Using real insights, local knowledge and retailer ‘VOC’ to steer the development of the future range to ensure profitable growth of the category.
HQ Partnership – build and harvest positive relationships at all levels of HQ management to ensure alignment with Global strategy and establish significant influence on the support needed for European execution.
Subsidiary Leadership – close collaboration with subsidiary teams to drive strategy execution, identify and bring to bear standard methodology and ensure consistency.
Your key people management responsibilities
- Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.
- Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
- Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
- Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.
- Handle the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
- Lead all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
- To be responsible for ensuring your team follows company processes and procedures; including compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding what we value.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Work towards opportunities and translate them into ideas, solutions, initiatives that directly impact the business performance
- Strategic problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of P&L and commercial principles
- Comfortable and proficient to interact and present to the senior executives
- Good in relationship building as success in this role depends on getting engagement from teams without direct reporting line
- Outstanding analytical and data management skills. Not just providing information but translating that into valuable insights. Ability to balance multiple data sources and consolidate and simplify into efficient analysis
- Shown excel, PowerPoint and word skills to compile valued reporting
- Significant proven experience in the Home Appliances industry background
- Built In Product, Channel and Customer experience is preferable
What does success look like?
- Independently delivering insights and recommendations on product roadmap, commercial performance and opportunities for the business
- Becoming familiar with internal tools, reports, dashboards and working with the team to improve reporting and insights
- Developing relationships with the country teams to guide them on strategic direction but also formulating market and competitive insights
- Additionally, providing commercial leadership and insights to impact subsidiary sales strategy
- Ability to present and discuss business with mid and senior stakeholders in the organisations
- Success will be measured based on overall commercial performance of the business.
