In this role, you’ll shape the way we listen, engage and communicate with our people across all locations — creating stories that connect, inspire and celebrate who we are, both inside and out.
Location: 3 days per week at our North Acton office, 2 days working from home.
What You Will Do:
Internal Communications
- Develop and deliver a global internal communications calendar (across email, newsletters, Town Halls, events and digital screens).
- Partner with stakeholders — including Johnnie Boden — to source news and stories that inform and inspire.
- Lead the intranet refresh project, ensuring design and content reflect our brand and culture.
Employee Engagement
- Manage our bi-annual employee engagement survey (Peakon), from comms to analysis and action planning.
- Champion diversity and inclusion by supporting our employee group, Belonging at Boden, and weaving their initiatives into comms.
- Represent comms and engagement at quarterly Forum meetings.
- Drive uptake of volunteering days, recognition schemes and benefits through engaging campaigns.
- Coordinate and host events such as Town Halls, Afternoon Teas, SLT Updates and speaker sessions.
- Create new “surprise & delight” initiatives to boost connection and culture.
- Manage our LinkedIn presence in partnership with Recruitment, curating authentic content that reflects Boden life.
- Keep candidate communications, careers pages and job platforms fresh, consistent and on-brand.
- Develop new ideas to showcase our people (e.g. spotlight series)

- Strong internal comms experience, with excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice.
- Confident working with senior leaders and stakeholders; skilled at building trust and influence.
- A creative thinker and doer — you’ll bring fresh ideas to the table and make them happen.
- Storytelling flair, with spirit, wit and great attention to detail.
- Experience running events and dreaming up new engagement initiatives.
- Familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint and Peakon.
- Organised, collaborative and fun to work with — someone who makes projects happen and enjoys the journey.
