Full Time
Assists in developing data standards, resolving data quality issues, and coordinating remediation activities. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance data management, ensure compliance, and implement automation for improved efficiency.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Implement and maintain the firm’s data governance framework ensuring data quality standards are consistently met.
- Manage data quality metrics, KPIs and dashboards to track and evidence conformance to data governance policies.
- Maintain data lineage documentation to track data flows throughout the organization.
- Create and manage a comprehensive data glossary to ensure consistent terminology across the firm.
- Utilize Microsoft Purview to catalog data assets and enforce data governance policies.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and implement remediation plans.
- Prepare regular reports on data governance activities for management.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and assess data needs, contributing to the design of solutions that align with Firm objectives.
- Learns about the end-to-end data lifecycle and data controls, helping to identify data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management.
Skills & Experience
- A foundational understanding of data governance principles including data quality, data lineage, roles and responsibilities, and inventory and documentation.
- Proven ability to design and maintain dashboards for tracking conformance.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and translating them into actionable solutions.
- A problem-solving mindset, with experience in identifying, resolving, and/or escalating data quality issues.
- Familiarity with automation tools or processes to improve the efficiency of data management systems.
- Awareness of existing and emerging data protection regulations, with the ability to apply them in a practical and compliant manner.
- Organizational skills, especially when it comes to coordinating complex activities like issue remediation or prioritization among diverse teams.
- An eye for detail, capable of helping maintain accurate and accessible documentation of data structures and sources.
- An adaptable approach to learning about new tools, technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts in clear terms and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Any prior experience in a professional services or legal environment is desirable.
The base salary range offered for this role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the firm. The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
