Position Summary: The Payments Service Manager will manage internal business segment relationships and be the primary liaison to manage multiple payment service providers. They will be responsible for ongoing contract administration and working various functions within Bank Operations in support of organizational strategies and objectives. They will be responsible for conducting regular service provider reviews, monitoring contractual SLAs, and seeking efficiencies though contractual amendments and competitive cost pricing for the providers serviced. This position will partner with the enterprise teams, Senior management, and other project and operational teams to support the capabilities and required functionality of Payment Operations.

Enterprise Relationship Management
- Work various research requests from bank and enterprise customers (e.g., ACH/Push to card payment limit increases, Positive pay customer setups/maintenance) and perform risk assessment analysis to ensure timely and accurate resolution of inquiries.
- Lead and manage projects in accordance with the department/organizational roadmap.
- Lead testing efforts and manage applicable payment product upgrades.
- Support all audit and exam requests providing timely and accurate information (FDIC Safety Soundness, SOX, internal, etc). Manage any corrective actions/findings to resolution.
- Analyze current state of operations and seek cost save efficiencies.
- Manage all service provider contracts, SLAs, pricing schedules to ensure all elements (terms, conditions, pricing) comply with all agreed-upon terms.
- Negotiate contractual changes to secure favorable pricing and profitability.
- Manage amendments in accordance and meeting all Legal and Vendor Management department requirements.
- Manage Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for all payment service providers.
- Partner with business segment teams to support any new and/or expansion of payment capabilities in accordance with all industry and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the implementation and setup functions.
- Train team members on payment product/processes.
- Provide ongoing service support.
- Assist with developing needed SOPs/policies and procedures.
- Support all audit requirements.
- Monitor client and partner feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- The ideal candidate and successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience & Education
College Degree Preferred.
- Prior Bank Operations experience (at least 3-5 years) required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Service Provider/Vendor Management, Treasury Management and/or Account Relationship Management.
- 1-3 years experience working with payment and receivable products/processes: ACH, Checks, debit/credit cards, Lockbox, Positive Pay, wire transfers.
- Understanding of instant payment solutions; Push to card, Peer to Peer - P2P (CashApp, Venmo, Zelle), Real Time Payments (RTP).
- Familiarity and understanding of Bank and Fintech core and payment platform solutions (e.g., FServ Premier, Commercial Center, Enterprise Payments Platform, Galileo).
- Certification or willingness to attain a payment certification preferred (e.g., Accredited ACH Professional - AAP, Accredited Faster Payments Professional - AFPP, Payment Card Industry Professional - PCIP, Certified Treasury Professional - CTP, etc.).
