About The Opportunity:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do (heartprint model). 

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant (also known as Diversional therapist / Recreational Officer), you will work under Leisure & lifestyle coordinator to promote, maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of residents. You will be assisting team in the development of a range of programs to suit the individual needs and preferences of residents within households. Things That Work For Us:

• Certificate in Leisure & Lifestyle or Diversional Therapy. Other relevant certificate in aged care may be acceptable.
• Experience in an aged care home, implementing Leisure & Lifestyle programs including working with people with dementia

• Good Team Work

• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
• Experience with Autumn Care (or similar software) with ability to maintain excellent records
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) is mandatory
