We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated GCP Practice Leader to lead DXC’s Google Cloud Practice in DXC. This role will be responsible for driving the business, developing our go to market, leading customer engagements, designing enterprise-grade cloud architectures, and implementing comprehensive cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical advisor for DXC and our customers, leading complex cloud transformation initiatives while overseeing the delivery of GCP AI/ML services, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Services, and DevOps automation. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic customer relationship management and solution architecture responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

Scale Google Cloud Practice

  • Define and execute GTM strategies for Google Cloud services across priority industries and customer segments.
  • Develop differentiated solution offerings and accelerators aligned to Google Cloud capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and alliance teams to drive pipeline growth and conversion.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with Google and key ecosystem partners.
  • Represent the practice in client engagements, industry forums, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Build and scale a high-performing Google Cloud delivery team across architecture, engineering, and consulting.
  • Drive certification, enablement, and career development programs to deepen technical expertise.

Customer Engagement & Architecture Leadership:

  • Lead customer discovery sessions, technical assessments, and solution design workshops
  • Serve as primary technical advisor and trusted consultant for enterprise customers during cloud transformation journeys
  • Design end-to-end cloud architectures that align with business objectives and technical requirements
  • Conduct comprehensive cloud readiness assessments and develop migration roadmaps
  • Present solution architectures, business cases, and technical recommendations to C-level executives and technical stakeholders
  • Lead proof-of-concept development and technical validation exercises with customers
  • Drive customer adoption of GCP best practices and architectural patterns

Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery:

  • Lead complex, multi-workload cloud migration and modernization initiatives
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud solutions using Google Cloud Well-Architected Framework principles
  • Architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructures for mission-critical workloads
  • Oversee implementation of cloud-native applications, microservices architectures, and serverless solutions
  • Lead integration projects connecting GCP services with existing enterprise systems and third-party applications
  • Establish cloud governance frameworks, security policies, and compliance standards
  • Design disaster recovery, business continuity, and multi-region deployment strategies

Team Leadership & Devops Excellence:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, and solution architects
  • Establish DevOps culture and automation practices within customer organizations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs
  • Provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption strategies and technology roadmaps
  • Coordinate with product teams, project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes

Qualifications And Skills:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and solution architecture, with 4+ years in customer-facing leadership roles
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation projects ($1M+ project value)
  • Experience managing enterprise customer relationships and driving technical sales processes

Google Cloud Platform Expertise:

  • Deep expertise across comprehensive GCP service portfolio including:
  • Advanced experience with Google Cloud cost optimization, billing, and resource management
  • Expertise in designing multi-region, highly available, and disaster recovery architectures
  • Compute & Containers: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine
  • AI/ML & Data: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
  • Networking & Security: VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, IAM, Security Command Center
  • Storage & Databases: Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Firestore
  • DevOps & Operations: Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Error Reporting

Technical Leadership Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and configuration management tools
  • Advanced programming skills in multiple languages: Python, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or .NET
  • Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API design, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), service mesh technologies, and cloud-native development
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design using Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools
  • Strong background in monitoring, observability, and site reliability engineering practices

Business & Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience with solution selling, technical pre-sales, and customer workshop facilitation
  • Strong project management skills with experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to develop business cases, ROI analysis, and technical proposals
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with sales, product management, and executive teams

Required Certifications:

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (required)
  • Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer (required)
  • Additional relevant certifications preferred:
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
  • Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer
  • Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer
  • Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Industry certifications in ITIL, PMP, or similar frameworks
  • Experience with enterprise software platforms (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
  • Background in specific industry verticals (Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing)
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
