Location: Europe (Flexible, preference for major energy hubs in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, or France)

Reports to: Vice President – Business Development, Europe
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving business development and securing new opportunities for KBR’s conceptual engineering and advisory services across the European market. This includes feasibility studies, concept select, and owner’s engineering services in the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The role will focus on building and maintaining senior-level relationships with clients, developing winning strategies, and securing long-term growth for KBR’s consulting portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities for feasibility studies, concept select, and owner’s engineering projects across Europe.
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to expand KBR’s footprint in the early-phase project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target clients, including national oil companies, IOCs, utilities, and industrial players.
- Lead client engagement from initial contact through contract negotiation and award.
- Market Intelligence & Networking
- Leverage a well-established European client network to identify and influence upcoming projects at the early decision-making stage.
- Maintain deep market knowledge of regional trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in low-carbon energy, LNG, hydrogen, downstream, and infrastructure.
- Bid Strategy & Coordination
- Work closely with technical teams to prepare winning proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and KBR’s value proposition.
- Lead pre-bid positioning, capture planning, and proposal reviews for all targeted opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring strong client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Drive long-term partnerships that lead to multi-phase project engagements (concept to FEED/EPC).
- Collaboration & Internal Leadership
- Work cross-functionally with KBR’s engineering, consulting, and project management teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Support regional leadership in shaping KBR’s European business growth strategy for early-phase services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline - Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven business development and sales experience in conceptual engineering and feasibility services in the European market.
- Established network and trusted relationships with key European energy and industrial clients.
- Demonstrated track record of securing major feasibility, concept select, and owner’s engineering contracts.
- Experience working with multinational clients and navigating complex procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to influence at C-suite level.
- Deep understanding of the early-phase project lifecycle and how to position services effectively.
- Other: Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
