Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Tax Manager to join our team!

As the Tax Manager, you will build strong relationships with the business across several teams including Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations. We are looking for a leader with an eagerness to develop and mentor others, with a passion for team growth. You will skillfully navigate complexity, adapting to evolving technology and regulatory change. Deep problem-solving abilities and sound judgement are a must!

You will work a hybrid schedule, onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this opportunity, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of combined public accounting and industry experience, with tax provision, compliance, and research responsibilities
  • At least (4) years’ progressive managerial oversight
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and ASC 740
  • Working knowledge of international tax concepts (e.g., GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits) and R&D tax credit
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical memo writing and stakeholder presentation
  • Proven ability to manage audits and maintain strong external partnerships
  • Must live local to Buffalo, NY to work onsite; we are unable to provide U.S. sponsorship for this opportunity.

It would also be great if you had…

  • A Master’s Degree or CPA
  • General exposure to indirect taxes
  • Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax), and familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar tools for analysis and automation
  • Experience developing or executing tax technology/process improvements

As the Tax Manager you will…

  • Lead accurate, timely filing of U.S. federal and state/local (direct and indirect) tax compliance, including estimated tax payments
  • Oversee incentive reporting, ensuring milestones are met and communicated to relevant agencies
  • Prepare/review quarterly and annual domestic ASC 740 tax provisions, including contributions to GAAP reporting and 10-K/Q disclosures
  • Conduct tax research, document technical positions, and issue clear and robust conclusions
  • Manage the IRS Compliance Assurance Process, maintain relations with IRS, and lead response efforts during state and local audits
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed tax considerations into business decisions and processes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on tax-related matters
  • Identify, implement, and scale process improvements and technology solutions to drive efficiency
  • Maintain a proactive stance in addressing evolving business needs and regulatory developments
  • Being visible to employees by providing coaching, feedback, and encouragement while instilling a collaborative environment

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $150,000.00–$180,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
