We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead Snap’s EHS programs at our Chandler facility. In this role, you’ll champion safety culture, ensure compliance with global and local standards, and protect the people and technologies that power Snap’s future.
Work Schedule: On-site | Monday–Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility to support occasional nights/weekends
What You’Ll Do:
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and manage the EHS management system in alignment with corporate policy and global standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.) as well as industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for equipment, process tools, and new technology introductions.
- Lead regulatory and third-party audits, acting as the point of contact for inspectors and certification bodies.
Hazardous Materials & Manufacturing Safety
- Lead hazardous materials and hazardous waste management programs, including safe handling, storage, and disposal.
- Oversee manufacturing safety, chemical / hazardous materials safety, laser safety, and compressed gases programs.
- Partner with engineering, production, and vendors on safe installation and commissioning of manufacturing tools.
Training, Culture & Engagement
- Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and site visitors.
- Promote a proactive, world-class safety culture built on hazard recognition, accountability, and operational discipline.
- Act as a mentor to junior EHS staff and a trusted advisor to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with works councils, safety committees, and other groups to enhance safety engagement.
Incident Prevention & Response
- Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, and near misses.
- Drive root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Provide leadership for emergency preparedness and response programs.
What We Are Looking For:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong experience conducting EHS risk assessments (machine safety, chemical and lasers).
- Detailed experience in developing and maintaining chemical/material safety programs to support advanced technology development and manufacturing operations within a cleanroom and laboratory environment.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and industry standards (ISO, ANSI, NFPA).
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and sustain comprehensive EHS programs.
- Skilled in conducting root cause investigations and leading emergency response programs.
- Ability to work effectively across a matrixed global organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and flexibility to support occasional nights/weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational/Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of practical EHS experience in semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in managing manufacturing EHS programs (compressed gases, hazardous materials, machine safety, contractor safety, training).
- Proven track record of developing and sustaining comprehensive EHS programs.
- Professional certifications: CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (Ca, Wa, Nyc):
The base salary range for this position is $118,000-$176,000 annually.Zone B:
The base salary range for this position is $112,000-$167,000 annually.Zone C:
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
