The Role

The VP, IWMS Product Solutions [Institutional Wealth Management Services] is a unique opportunity to lead an organization of business/product analysts that have a significant impact on the technology based products and services that we build in support of our Advisor oriented business.  The group brings expertise in understanding the business needs of our clients and internal stakeholders, partners deeply with our product leaders to uncover the depth of the requirements, and then partners with delivery teams to design, build and validate the very best solutions the market is demanding. 

As a leader of this function, we are looking for someone that can:

• Bring organizational energy to motivate the team to have the highest impact on the products and services that we build.  The analyst roles in this organization are pivotal to the success of what our business is seeking to accomplish.
• Partner strategically with our domain and product area leaders to understand their needs, the market needs, and determine how to apply prioritization of the resources in the Product Solutions organization.
• Set the bar high on the north star of what a great business/product analyst should be able to accomplish, set the right standards of what great looks like in a complicated B2B environment where complexity is high, commitments are key, and yet iterative development is a necessary approach to understand client needs.
• Invest in chapter leaders to not only bring the best in people leadership and development skills, but also demonstrate their own skills as high end practitioners of analysis and product development skills to be applied to our most complicated problems. 

This leader will join a leadership team as a part the larger Product Delivery Excellence organization which brings product strategy and business architecture skills to the organization. IT Project & Program Management skills to help drive software delivery,  oversight of a thoughtful and thorough decision process related to our most strategic initiatives through our Product & Service Council, and Portfolio Strategy & Planning services to give broad oversight to the investments IWMS makes in technology.    

Our goal is to find someone that has:

• Strong end to end full product life cycle experience and knows how to bring products from ideation to delivery to being used by our clients/customers.
• Working knowledge of the complexities of delivering products in the Fidelity wide ecosystem. 
• Solid relationship management skills and influence capabilities to push the boundaries of what’s possible to achieve.
• An ability to be an integrator of ideas that recognizes that not all product areas are created equal which means solutions need to be flexible. 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or engineering preferred.
• 10-15+ years of product management experience, with impactful results
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing dynamic products and solutions. 
• Proven experience of how evolving products and services to a target business/ customer base intersects with the enterprise-wide business analysis and product management practices. 
• Experience in Financial services is required, with a preference on a blend of knowledge of B2B, B2C and how those constructs impact the development of products and services. 
• Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams.
• Iterative development experience is a big plus
• You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization.
• You are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.

This role sits in the IWMS Platform & Technology organization that brings a blend of business product ownership with our Domain and Product Leaders and technology product ownership with our Engineering , Analysis, and Architecture functions.  The IWMS Platform & Technology organization is one of 4 main partner organizations that make up the leadership team of IWMS, each one being key partners in driving overall technology product success.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
