What You'Ll Do:

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the marketing automation strategy for Western Alliance Bank and its divisions. This individual will lead the charge in shaping the email marketing strategy and technology roadmap. They will collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to determine how marketing's database marketing platforms can add value, create efficiencies, and support broader business objectives. They will work closely with vendors, agencies, and third-party consultants to evaluate campaign and technology enhancements to build loyalty, increase share of wallet, and support relationship-based business lines.

The Digital Marketing Manager serves as the bank's in-house email and SMS marketing expert and is the primary owner of the bank's database marketing systems. They are responsible for providing leadership and overseeing program performance. As a member of the MarTech group, they may also support additional digital marketing initiatives as assigned.
  • Build and deploy email campaigns including personalization and dynamic content across different promotional emails, customer journeys, and other direct channels such as Push Notifications and In-App Messages.
  • Take ownership of campaign execution via Dynamics; identify A/B testing opportunities to optimize conversion rates, utilize customer data to personalize email campaigns.
  • Identify and manage target email audiences, prioritize campaign calendars, and maintain CRM database health.
  • Maintain documentation and processes related to email and user data. Responsible for working with vendors, staff and technology teams to configure systems and manage data integrity across MarTech applications.
  • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading metrics, build reports, conduct analysis to assess and communicate performance to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and pilot new tactics to maximize the impact and achieve business objectives.
  • Provides supervision to and directs the activities of their employees; performs supervisory tasks such as performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; develops work schedules; provides necessary training and coaching.

What You'Ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of related experience in marketing and communications or similar field.
  • Proficient in email marketing platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and e-mail best practices.
  • Ability to work strategically and tactically in a hands-on/executional capacity.
  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to influence others without direct control.
  • Courage to take initiative, pilot and evaluate new program types.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine key insights to drive improvements.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing processes including but not limited to creative work, print and multi-media, vendors, ad agencies, sales management training, etc.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office including MS Project Manager, desktop publishing, etc.).
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
