Practice Overview
We are looking for a ‘rising star’ to complement our talented team of disputes experts. Our construction dispute resolution professionals provide expert advice and independent professional opinion on some of the world’s largest, most complex, and high-profile capital project disputes. Courts, corporations, and tribunals rely on us to get to the nub of the issue in any given dispute. We develop efficient and robust delay analyses and present our conclusions in a clear, concise, and objective manner to enable the resolution of complex disputes.
Our EMEA APAC Construction Disputes practice operates through in London, Germany, France, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore and China. with over 100 billable professionals.
Role Overview
This is a key role, operating in a fast-paced culture, and will suit a candidate with the ambition and desire to grow and develop in the dispute’s world, whilst we provide the opportunity and training to support you in that endeavour, including excellent networking opportunities. The role will involve frequent client interaction, including preparing and presenting results.
You will have the opportunity to work with highly reputable, specialist expert witnesses, recognised by Lexology. You will be part of a talented team of experts working on some of the world’s most interesting and significant project disputes.
The international nature of our work means that successful candidates should be prepared to travel globally, sometimes at short notice. You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by working on complex and landmark projects in the construction and engineering sector all over the globe including France.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of claims and counterclaims in respect of extension of time, loss and expense, disruption, prolongation, and relief from liquidated damages, particularly matters of delay.
- Working with a team, assisting with the provision of expert advice to clients
- Assist in delivery of commission services in line with client briefs
- Delivering tasks within specified time frames.
Requirements:
- Background in construction or engineering with a related degree
- Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body
- Understanding of claims and contract administration
- Ability to identify / defend contractual claims
- Knowledge of main standard forms of contract
- Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 software or similar
- Experience across a range of construction/engineering projects
- Good analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment
- Ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and ambition to progress their career.
- Fluent in English and French is essential due the nature of our client work.
