We are looking for a skilled Senior Payroll Specialist for our payroll department in Højbjerg, Aarhus. You will have extensive internal contact across the organization, as you will be in daily communication with both managers and employees, guiding them in a service-minded way through questions about payroll, time registration, collective agreements, and reimbursements.

You will become part of a small, dynamic team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and drive are key. You will report to our Payroll Manager based in Bratislava and be part of a European team of talented payroll specialists. Our payroll department works closely with our HR department, with whom we regularly exchange knowledge. In 2024, we have transited from in-house payroll to an external provider, and some tasks in this role will be adjusted accordingly.

How You’ll Do It

  • Monthly payroll processing for hourly employees, apprentices, salaried-like positions, and service technicians under collective agreements
  • Optimize and digitize work processes
  • Ensure accurate time registration in the SP Lessor system
  • Prepare sickness statistics for HR and management
  • Handle payroll reimbursements for employees
  • Potential to support other payroll departments in the Nordics over time

Who You Are

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and have strong system understanding
  • Service-minded with a flair for IT and new systems
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with industrial collective agreements, local agreements, and process transformations is a plus
  • Previous experience in payroll processing and registration is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and an Excel superuser
  • Able to communicate in both Danish and English (many meetings are in English)
  • Not afraid to ask critical questions or seek help
