Position Overview:

Vantage is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed Equipment and associated supply chains. This high-impact role requires a proactive leader who can drive procurement strategy, manage complex vendor relationships, and ensure seamless execution across multiple concurrent projects. You will oversee the full spectrum of equipment procurement and delivery, including RFP development, contract negotiation, submittal oversight, logistics coordination, budget governance, and technical design evaluation. Success in this role requires close collaboration with external supply chain partners and cross-functional alignment with internal teams including Construction Cost & Finance, Accounting, Construction, Operations, and Legal.

Essential Job Functions:

Equipment Procurement And Management:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of equipment submittals with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
  • Interpret and manage electrical single-line diagrams, mechanical riser diagrams, and technical specifications across multiple initiatives.
  • Strategically source and procure a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, including but not limited to Medium Voltage Switchgear, Transformers, Chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, PDUs, UPSs, and Generators.

Vendor And Supplier Management:

  • Act as the principal point of contact for supply chain partners, ensuring timely communication of lead-time shifts and cost impacts.
  • Cultivate and expand supplier relationships, driving competitive pricing strategies and vendor diversification.
  • Lead negotiations for complex equipment and service agreements, ensuring optimal value and risk mitigation.

Project Coordination:

  • Analyze and align project schedules with equipment delivery milestones to ensure on-time execution.
  • Coordinate vendor-led commissioning and start-up services to support project readiness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on technical specifications and operational deliverables.

Budget And Financial Management:

  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive project budgets, ensuring procurement activities align with financial targets.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to resolve invoicing discrepancies, support cash flow planning, and reconcile budgets.
  • Lead forecasting and inventory planning initiatives to support long-term procurement strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage with engineering and sales teams to address evolving client needs and design modifications.
  • Manage the release and approval of equipment in accordance with construction timelines.
  • Drive execution of project-level deliverables in coordination with the broader project management team.

Negotiation And Contracts:

  • Develop RFPs and lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and mitigate risk.
  • Support the structuring of complex procurement agreements to align with project scope, budget, and timeline.

Additional Duties:

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management. 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or construction management.
  • Prior experience with data center or industrial equipment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction and supplier contract management.
  • Strong organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Deep understanding of construction management principles.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic sourcing expertise.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical and financial data to executive stakeholders.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
