Position Specifics
The Parents And Children Together (PACT) initiative, directed by Dr. Dawn Witherspoon with Associate Director, Dr. Martha Wadsworth, invite applications for a Clinical Research Coordinator to serve as the Assistant Director of Community Relations.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will have the opportunity to work as part of the PACT multidisciplinary team of investigators, community members, and community organizations who collaborate to promote the health and well-being of children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds through culturally sensitive and community-engaged research.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will communicate and engage with the greater Harrisburg community by attending community outreach events, assisting with PACT project recruitment strategies, and representing PACT through participation on community boards.
For PACT, this position will be responsible for developing and sustaining relationships and partnerships with community members and organizations in the greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, region (and tracking these efforts). Also, this position requires facilitating and regular monitoring of research partnerships between PACT Investigators and community members and organizations.
The Clinical Research Coordinator will also perform administrative tasks necessary for the successful functioning of PACT. This position will be responsible for managing and overseeing the PACT shared lab space, maintaining the PACT recruitment database, and facilitating PACT trainings (e.g., outreach and communication).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attend community outreach events and serve on community boards
- Act as a liaison between community members and organizations and PACT Investigators
- Develop, revise, coordinate, and facilitate trainings for PACT outreach and communication
- Manage and oversee the PACT shared space in Harrisburg, including the creation of workflow processes and policies for use of the shared space
- Identify, communicate, and resolve PACT shared space issues; recommend and implement solutions
- Coordinate PACT meetings; create meeting agendas
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Director and Associate Director
- Generate reports and deliver presentations to stakeholders
- Maintain PACT Recruitment Database and develop recruitment plans to assist PACT projects
- Manage and track PACT budgets related to outreach and Community Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to ensure efforts align with PACT guidelines; submit all necessary paperwork for purchasing card transactions
- Track and document PACT training completion
This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, primarily to accommodate the availability of participating families and outreach events. On-site office work would be done at the PACT shared space in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Qualifications:
- Ability to be detail-oriented and multi-task
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
