About The Opportunity
Abbott Diagnostics Division is looking for Commercial Director to lead and manage all commercial operations of Abbott CRLB within the designated region - BeLux. This includes oversight of Sales, Technology Solution Design (TSD), Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance. The role focuses on driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision aligned with regional and global priorities, while balancing short-term business goals and market dynamics.
- Expand market presence and foster a customer-first culture across all touchpoints.
- Anticipate industry trends and proactively adapt strategies to meet evolving customer needs and maintain competitive advantage.
Commercial Management
- Lead all commercial functions with full P&L accountability, including revenue growth and gross margin optimization.
- Implement innovative go-to-market strategies to increase market share and customer engagement.
- Oversee forecasting and planning processes (PLAN, LBE, IBP) in collaboration with Finance and regional stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies, regulatory authorities, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Actively influence relevant policies, frameworks, and market developments.
Operational Excellence
- Drive commercial excellence by achieving performance benchmarks and continuously optimizing delivery models.
- Lead business excellence initiatives and implement scalable, efficient processes to support growth and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, audit requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team across sales, marketing, technical service, and application support.
- Recruit, coach, and develop talent, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Model ethical leadership, integrity, and transparency in all business practices.

Key Requirements:
- University degree (preferably in a scientific discipline or business); MBA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior commercial leadership roles.
- Previous experience within diagnostics environment is required
- Fluency in English and French is required, Dutch is a plus
- Strong understanding of product technologies, customer needs, market dynamics, and regulatory environments within diagnostics area
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and make courageous, data-driven decisions.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Reporting & Impact
- Reports directly to the Regional Managing Director or Area VP.
- Holds full accountability for the performance and success of the Abbott CRLB country organization
