The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst will drive standardization, automation and reusability of reporting solutions and analytical products to deliver consistent, actionable information and insights across the enterprise for business and functional support areas. Support the delivery of revenue growth, expense optimization, competitive advantage and drive data driven decision making, by increasing analytical maturity. Leverage existing tools to efficiently deliver or present the information to internal or external audience.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Collect requirements from stakeholders and leverage knowledge of the key components and relationships of Assurant products, distribution channels, customer base, systems, and data into solution designs for effective reporting
- Foster and sustain open communication with business users and stakeholders.
- Provide training to stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of the business operations and strategic imperatives of Assurant through the periodic review of business goals and operational and strategic plans.
- Assist business customers by advising them on defining systems requirements.
- Work closely with business units to provide direction in addressing business systems challenges and new opportunities.
- Assist in requirements analysis and solution design for approved projects and change requests of the highest complexity.
- Prepare and contribute toward the preparation of project and product vision documentation.
Implement and optimize visualization, dashboarding, reporting, process and analytical solution through standardization and automation by leveraging tools and proven methodology while using storytelling to drive business thinking.
- Analyze existing solutions and optimize them based on latest best practices, tools, techniques and policies
- Implement scalable standardized reports and self-service solutions to reduce the overall amount on reports and time spent on creating and maintaining reports
- Test results and apply best practices on quality assurance
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, to execute fast and to assure a the right training and hand-over effort to the stakeholders
- Ensure that provided timelines and business needs are met
- Proactively identify and design optimization opportunities to add value through holistic & advanced business insights and leverage Data Analytic capabilities and products efficiently with appropriate controls.
Customer Liaison, Relationship Building, and Communications
- Build relationships and rapport with internal and external customers and our business partners.

Analysis/Solution Generation
- Identify ineffective work processes/flows within related work areas and make appropriate recommendations for improvement & efficiency gains.
- Research, report and implement temporary and long-term fixes for moderate to highly complex problems and issues based on documented policies, procedures and standards.
- Assess impact of proposed business solutions on current systems and procedures.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, etc is desired
- 4+ years of professional analytics development experience.
- Broad knowledge in visualization techniques, Knowledge in visual story telling with data, designing highly automated descriptive analytics/reporting solutions, building, understanding of data models, especially within the PowerBI stack, understanding of business needs and processes.
- 4+ years of PowerBI, Modeling, Excel, SSRS, and Tableau. SharePoint, PowerApps, MS Flow, etc. are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in the fields of retail or supply chain analytics and reporting is desired.
- Experience in effective and compelling communication to technical and non-technical departments
What other knowledge would be helpful in this role?
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational boundaries.
- Profound in analyzing data and make strong recommendations based on findings.
- Profound in prioritizing tasks with shifting deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Profound in working independently with little guidance while still meeting objectives

Pay Range:
$72,900.00 - $121,900.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
