Senior Specialist, Site Reliability Engineering (DevOps)

Role

As Site Reliability Engineering (DevOps) you will be responsible to build and maintain a cloud-based DevOps functions. The candidate will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to craft, build, automate processes, streamline workflows, and improve resilience & efficiency. The individual will be required to liaise closely with senior managers that constitute Post Trade Services and work in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines applying GitLab and Jenkins.
• Manage and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Monitor system through Datadog and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on standard methodologies for DevOps processes
• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems and respond to incidents in a timely manner
• Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of future occurrences

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience working in a SRE/DevOps/Application Support role, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is must
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications such as AWS certified solutions architect - associate and Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus
• Proficiency in automating Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
• Experience of deploying applications via Jenkins, Pipelining in Gitlab and running jobs in Cloud and on-prem environments
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
