The LSEG D&A Workflows business offers a range of digital workflow solutions that deliver financial insights to help enterprise finance professionals make actionable decisions across the investment and trade-lifecycle. Workflow solutions are a combination of LSEG’s leading content, advanced tools, and collaboration experiences – all of which are required to help users meet their daily objectives. Open Directory is an LSEG and Microsoft Teams collaboration experience that connects experts across wealth management, investment banking, sales & trading (sell-side), buy-side asset management, and related front / middle / back-office roles - spanning equities, fixed income, currencies, and credit. We are seeking a Product Leader to drive this vision – someone with deep financial services experience and a passion for community-driven growth. In this role, you will own the product strategy for user engagement and growth, leveraging best practices from successful communities in other industries (e.g. technology, developer networks, social platforms) to make our platform the go-to hub for finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
•Product Vision and Strategy: Define and lead the strategic roadmap for community features and growth, aligned with business objectives and the product strategies of Workflows Product Community Leaders. Articulate a compelling vision for how the platform evolves to meet the needs of financial services professionals, incorporating insights from enterprise community best practices. Ensure product direction reflects the unique workflows and expectations of target segments including wealth management, investment banking, trading, and asset management.•User Engagement and Community Building: Design and oversee programs and features that drive sustained user engagement and participation. Implement advanced engagement strategies such as gamification, interactive content formats (e.g., AMAs, polls, Q&As), and exclusive events to foster real-time collaboration and networking. Cultivate a culture of peer-to-peer learning and user-generated content to strengthen community authenticity and value.•Growth and Acquisition: Own the user growth strategy for the community, applying a data-driven approach to acquisition, onboarding, and retention. Develop and execute initiatives that attract professionals from target sectors and convert them into active contributors. Leverage organic and targeted outreach tactics, including referral programs, industry partnerships, and thought leadership campaigns.•Community Product Design: Lead the design and prioritization of community-centric features that enhance collaboration, personalization, and content discovery. Partner with platform and product teams to ensure seamless integration with existing tools and mobile responsiveness. Continuously research and incorporate innovative features from other industries (e.g., mentorship matching, AI-driven recommendations) to maintain a cutting-edge experience.•Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, customer strategy, and success teams to translate vision into execution. Lead go-to-market planning for new features and engagement campaigns, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders. Act as the internal evangelist for the community platform, communicating progress, impact, and strategic direction to executive leadership.•Metrics & Analytics: Define and monitor KPIs for community health and growth, including MAUs, engagement rates, retention cohorts, and content contribution metrics. Use analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for iteration and investment. Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring the community delivers meaningful professional value.•Executive Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across LSEG and financial services industry to ensure the community platform is integrated into broader workflow strategies. Represent the community vision in executive forums, influencing decision-making and securing buy-in for strategic initiatives. Champion the voice of the user at the leadership level, ensuring community insights shape product and business strategy.•Thought Leadership & Industry Positioning Position OD as a thought leader in financial services networking and collaboration by curating high-impact content, events, and partnerships. Lead strategic collaborations with industry bodies, influencers, and external communities to expand reach and relevance. Represent LSEG at industry events, panels, and forums to promote the community platform and gather market intelligence.- Technical / Job Function Knowledge

Community/Network Product Insight: Proven knowledge of what it takes to build an active online community or network. Perhaps you have managed a product with social features, forums, or B2B customer communities, or you have launched engagement initiatives in a SaaS product. You understand that professional communities thrive by delivering practical value and ROI to their members (versus the more entertainment or emotion-driven engagement of consumer social networks) . Experience implementing features like gamification, user-generated content systems, reputation levels, or personalization is a strong plus.
Data-Driven & User-Centric: You ground your decisions in data and user research. Expertise in analysing product metrics and running experiments (A/B tests, etc.) is required. You know how to gather user feedback (e.g. interviews, surveys) from a niche professional audience and translate those insights into product improvements. Ability to define the right KPIs for community growth and measure against them is essential . At the same time, you pair data with intuition and user empathy to make sound product judgments.
Cross-Industry Perspective: A creative mindset that looks beyond traditional finance industry approaches. We value a candidate who stays informed on community engagement trends across industries – for example, how developer communities, online learning communities, or social networks drive participation – and can adapt those lessons to our platform . Your breadth of perspective will help innovate a fresh community experience for financial services.

Financial Services Expertise: Mandatory – significant experience in the financial services domain. You have worked in or closely with one or more of the target segments (e.g. capital markets, investment banking, asset management, trading etc) and possess a strong understanding of front, middle, and back-office functions. The specialist knowledge is not only foundational—it is instrumental in shaping strategic decisions and ensuring our community product is deeply aligned with the professional realities of our users. It is important for translating domain-specific challenges into actionable insights, and your credibility allows you to engage meaningfully with senior stakeholders across the industry.
Leadership and Management Experience
Product Leadership Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in product management or closely related roles, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership positions such as Head of Product, Product Director, or equivalent. Proven track record of owning and scaling complex digital products, ideally platforms, marketplaces, or community-driven applications, with measurable impact on business growth and user engagement. Has driven end-to-end product strategy, from setting a compelling vision and defining roadmaps to orchestrating cross-functional execution in fast-paced, customer-centric environments. You are fluent in growth levers—user acquisition, engagement, retention—and have applied them hands-on to scale products sustainably.
