We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Environmental to shape compliance, sustainability, and risk management across our manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and field sales operations. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for environmental and sustainability matters partnering with engineering, legal, and business leaders to strengthen our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, prevent risks, and deliver proactive solutions. Location can either be in Minneapolis, MN or near major airport in the Central/Eastern time zones and will require 25% travel 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental compliance and risk management across multiple sites. 
  • Develop and deliver training, tools, and programs to meet federal, state, and local regulations. 
  • Develop program elements/tools to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EPA regulations and applicable company requirements.  
  • Partner with engineering, legal, and business leaders to integrate environmental requirements into capital projects and operations. 
  • Investigate environmental incidents, analyze data, and implement corrective actions and prevention plans. 
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and risk assessments to strengthen performance and compliance. 
  • Define and track key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Manage a team of direct and indirect reports. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, or related field. 
  • 5+ years of environmental and EHS experience in manufacturing or warehousing. 
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management systems and regulations. 
  • Proven ability to lead programs across multiple sites and teams. 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%. 
  • Preferred: Advanced EHS qualifications or certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE). 

Compensation And Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $104,625 - $174,375 annually with eligibility for a 20% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental, Safety, or related technical discipline

Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 5 of EHS experience in manufacturing and warehousing, environmental

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Extensive technical knowledge and experience with EHS Management systems and their deployment. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site/region EHS programs and people. Displays strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Understands and can articulate EHS requirements and regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environments. Demonstrates professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader. Ability to lead, supervise, manage, and develop individuals and high-performance teams, work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment, maintain confidentiality, make independent decisions , demonstrate excellent organizational skills, use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlineso travel up to 25% (dependent on business needs and fluctuation). Postgraduate EHS qualifications are desirable. CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE desirable.
