About You:
You are an experienced property and facilities professional with strong skills in maintenance planning, contractor management, and compliance. Highly organised and solutions-focused, you can balance competing priorities, manage budgets, and deliver cost-effective outcomes. With excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you work collaboratively while upholding safety, confidentiality, and the values of a not-for-profit organisation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead property and facilities management, including preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, acquisitions, and disposals
- Develop, implement, and maintain annual property maintenance plans and associated databases
- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate contractors and service providers to ensure quality, cost-effective outcomes
- Manage contracts, budgets, and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
- Monitor compliance with statutory and essential service obligations, safety standards, and risk management procedures
- Provide strategic advice to the Executive on property matters and conduct annual property audits, reporting outcomes to stakeholders
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Minimum five years’ experience in property and facilities management
- Demonstrated skills in maintenance planning, budgeting, and contractor management
- Proven stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, including contract and lease evaluation
- Knowledge of essential services, OH&S legislation, risk assessment, and compliance requirements
- Practical experience across building and grounds maintenance
- Proficiency with computerised maintenance systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and meet strict deadlines
- Commitment to safety, confidentiality, ethical practice, and organisational values
Desirable:
- Experience in developing contractor management and fleet management systems for NFP organisations
