Allied Credit is a leading vehicle finance firm with strategic alliances with global car, marine and motorcycle brands. Offering white label, joint venture and floorplan finance, our proprietary software provides a seamless, convenient and customer-focused finance service to consumers and businesses.

We are seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst; reporting to the team Product Owner, this is a critical role responsible for driving strategic IT projects and providing business analysis expertise. This role combines leadership, detailed analysis and proactive problem-solving to deliver optimal technology solutions that support Allied Credit's business objectives. The Senior BAA will engage with stakeholders across the business, demonstrate initiative and actively contribute to IT-related project and business improvement.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct in-depth business analysis, including impact analysis, to identify IT-related opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document technical and business requirements.
  • Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop business cases, process maps and functional specifications for IT projects.
  • Analyse and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights for IT solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure solutions align with business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Contribute to the identification and reporting of project progress, risks and issues, and drive resolution activities.
  • Support business transition through training and documentation.
  • Assist with investigations/incidents to identify root causes and facilitate resolution.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and guidance to business analysts, encouraging a culture of learning and growth.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in business analysis and IT.

Your Background

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success as a Senior Business Analyst within the banking & financial services industry.
  • Sophisticated vendor management skills would be highly regarded.
  • Expertise in business requirements documentation, process mapping and impact analysis.
  • An aptitude for identifying discrepancies in data, and excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A natural inclination towards collaboration, openness and curiosity.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities with highly strong analytical skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and quality assurance practices.
  • Familiarity with IT Security, Governance, Compliance and Risk Management principles.
