About The Role
Play a key role in safeguarding drinking water quality by leading the development, review, and auditing of Water Safety Plans. You'll support the Water Safety Planning process and contribute to broader Water Quality Management initiatives. This is a meaningful acting opportunity to make a real impact on public health outcomes.
A Water Safety Plan is fundamentally a risk assessment where it utilises a comprehensive risk assessment approach for all drinking water quality processes and steps in a water supply system, from catchment to customer. All identified hazards with no barrier in place are captured as actions and recorded in the corporate systems for tracking and reporting on progress.
You will also undertake drinking water quality focussed projects and tasks, as required, contributing to the implementation of the Drinking Water Quality Framework and promote drinking water quality management and provide advice in relation to technical enquiries and operational issues.
