At Whitsons Culinary Group, we’re seeking a detail-oriented, big-picture-thinking Corporate Dietitian to support our Contract Management (CM) and Prepared Meals (PM) divisions. In this role, you’ll help shape menus, ensure compliance, and provide nutritional expertise that impacts communities across schools, healthcare, and beyond.
What You’Ll Do
- Ensure menus, recipes, and production records meet USDA, state, and Whitsons nutrition standards.
- Stay current on federal and state regulations (including HHFKA) and guide teams on updates.
- Support nutrition counseling and consultations for consumers with special dietary needs (in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA).
- Develop, test, and analyze recipes to guarantee quality, nutrition accuracy, and compliance.
- Maintain ingredient, recipe, and menu information across nutrition software platforms (Nutrikids, Genesis, Meal Tracker).
- Provide nutritional analysis for school and healthcare clients while supporting special dietary needs and menu requests.
- Partner with culinary teams to deliver creative, compliant solutions.
- Create engaging nutrition education tools, presentations, newsletters, and wellness resources.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and represent Whitsons’ nutrition standards during reviews and audits.
- Contribute to wellness initiatives, community outreach, and special projects that promote better nutrition.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential with a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Food Science.
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, school nutrition, or food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with USDA and state-specific nutrition standards for multiple age groups.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and nutrition-related software (Nutrikids, Genesis, Meal Tracker).

QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Food Science, or Nutrition required.
Certifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in healthcare, schools, or food manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with USDA and state-specific nutrition standards for multiple age groups.
- Experience with menu analysis, compliance reviews, and recipe management.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in nutrition-related software (Nutrikids, Genesis, Meal Tracker).

Travel Requirements
Some travel is required. Most traveling will be confined to day trips in the region but from time to time, may also include travel to client locations outside New York (reliable transportation required).
