About The Role!
Suits a GRC guru who will be supported to make a real difference. An opportunity to apply their expertise through implementing valuable fit for purpose frameworks and processes. A role that is integral in protecting the organisation and our people by ensuring our practices; meet legislative requirements, are designed to be sustainable and allow for innovation and progress. The purpose of our Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance is to drive impact by educating and embedding behaviour to develop a strong GRC culture.
About The Responsibilities:
- Lead Enterprise Risk Management – identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organisation.
- Drive Governance & Compliance – maintain up-to-date policies, registers, and delegations.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, briefing papers, and tendering processes.
- Manage internal & external audits, ensuring compliance and timely responses.
- Deliver risk reporting, analysis, and executive/board presentations.
- Develop and implement SOPs across the organisation.
- Provide staff training, building a strong governance, risk, and compliance culture.
- Partner with executives to shape fit-for-purpose GRC frameworks.
- Engage stakeholders with clear communication, advice, and consultation.
- Ensure privacy, information requests, and sensitive consultations are managed effectively.

About You!
- Tertiary qualifications in operational excellence, business, or law.
- 10+ years’ leadership experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) within regulated or commercial environments.
- Expertise in corporate governance, risk management frameworks, and compliance policies, including internal audit, privacy, and GIPA legislation.
- Proven record in project and change management, with knowledge of methodologies such as RACI and Design Thinking.
- Strong stakeholder management skills: conflict resolution, negotiation, influencing, and consensus building.
- Highly developed research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to work independently, manage upwards, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Deep understanding of GRNSW’s regulatory environment and ability to foster a culture of governance, compliance, and risk excellence.
