Job Description

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service. 

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.  .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.

Join us as a Liquidity Portfolio Manager and play a pivotal role in managing one of the Corporate Bank’s most significant deposit portfolios, supporting over £90bn in UK deposits. In this role, you’ll shape pricing strategy, optimise the balance sheet, and align treasury appetite with our goals for growth across global transaction products. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Coverage and Cash Sales, influencing decisions that drive business performance and income targets. Combining strategic portfolio management with detailed client-level analysis, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver real commercial outcomes. Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced analytical capability with proven experience in data analysis
  • Solid understanding of liquidity management products, ideally with experience across transaction banking products
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to take a pragmatic approach, balancing perspectives to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple functions and levels
  • Effective planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently while also contributing as a collaborative team player

Desired Skills / Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Familiarity with Python coding and Tableau dashboard development
