How Will You Contribute And Grow?

Directs and controls the manufacture and distribution of packaged and bulk gases in the assigned regional plant locations. Responsible for the coordination of regional plant safety, maintenance, compliance, staffing, training, associate performance, capital expenditures and operational budgets. This position requires a motivated, self-directed individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

Essential Job Functions:

  • All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the regional plant locations overall Safety, Quality, Service and Cost control.
  • Manages all operations personnel in accordance with company policies by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work, managing performance and resolving associate issues so that assigned performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Creates, implements and revises, as needed, standard operational practices.
  • Ensures adequate cylinder supply to meet customer needs.
  • Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and minimum delays.
  • Assists with development of capital expenditure budget and coordinates capital expenditures once proper approvals have been received.
  • Develops, implements and revises, as needed, standard operational practices.
  • Compiles, stores, and analyzes production data and makes adjustments so that customer needs are met and customers are retained.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detailed-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Pre-employment and random drug testing applies.
  • Possess conceptual understanding of industrial gas products, production, distribution applications and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices desired.
  • Significant training in Safety and Compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA)
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office suite of applications – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with SAP software desired.

Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses And/Or Registrations:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree from a four year college/university, Engineering degree and/or MBA preferred
  • 10 + years of experience in industrial gas/packaged gas industry plant environment, petrochemical, or related industries in operations and/or engineering or related activities.
  • Minimum 5 years in supervisory role.
  • General Management and Leadership Roles in Industrial Gas Business.
