The Mechanical Integrity Supervisor is responsible for Quality Assurance / Quality Control in an assigned area of the CF Woodward Nitrogen Complex. The Mechanical Integrity Supervisor works closely with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Departments to ensure daily QA/QC Inspections, material tracking/receiving, fabrication/testing activities and final turnover documentation meet plant requirements. This work includes, but may not be limited to, working with pressure vessels, stationary components of rotating equipment, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks, valves, pressure relieving devices, boilers, mechanical instrumentation components, instrumentation, electrical equipment, rotating equipment, etc. The successful candidate will require familiarity with applicable codes and their respective inspection requirements as they relate to fixed equipment and be able to lead E&I and Rotating equipment mechanical integrity program.Job Description:

Job Description:
- Constructively work within the Engineering and Operations Department which includes mechanical engineering, process engineers, project engineers, E&I engineering, reliability and inspection.
- Perform equipment mechanical integrity inspections as scheduled in the Mechanical Integrity program.
- Supervise NDE technicians and API inspectors.
- Perform unscheduled equipment inspections as requested by operations, maintenance and engineering personnel per individual task, project or turnaround schedule.
- Review and approve contractor onsite weld protocols per individual task, project or turnaround schedules.
- Perform new equipment fabrication inspections and repair inspections as requested by maintenance and project engineering.
- Evaluate and audit contract organization’s quality control and assurance programs.
- Evaluate contract organization’s capacity to perform intended project(s) based on the degree of difficulty and the organization’s area of expertise.
- Be able to perform internal inspections of plant equipment during outages and scheduled shutdowns, and be able to make repair recommendations based on equipment deficiencies. Evaluate and manage inspection personnel manning as compared to inspection backlog for routine and turnaround schedules in assigned area.
- Validate contract inspector certifications and qualifications.
- Ensure all inspection reports clearly explain equipment condition and are submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain personal inspection certifications as outlined in the mechanical integrity program. Actively participate in turnaround and/or plant shutdown activities for assigned areas and as needed.
- Identify and implement improvements to the mechanical integrity program.
- Continually evaluate ways to improve site safety.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and EHS departments to ensure the mechanical integrity department is meeting the end user’s needs and are in compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards.
- Lead site personnel in development of E&I and Rotating equipment Mechanical Integrity Program.
Required Qualifications:
- Five or more years of inspection and mechanical integrity related experience in the oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing industry.
- API 510, and API 570 certifications.
- The ability to review and approve welding procedures based on the code of construction for repairs and new equipment fabrication.
- Experience performing source inspections at offsite fabrication facilities and have a broad knowledge of the standards that will be applied during the fabrication process.
- Experience in RTI (Radiographic Testing Interpretation).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with personnel of all backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Successful Incumbents Will Have:
- Familiarity with VT (Visual Techniques), UT (Ultrasound Thickness Testing), PT (Liquid Penetrant), MT (Magnetic Particle) inspection techniques, and tube testing.
- Industrial pipefitting/welding experience preferred.
- An understanding of welding and fabrication processes for both shop and field applications.
- Knowledge of NDE techniques that are generally applied in the petrochemical industry.
Successful incumbents will work towards developing:
- API 653, API 580, API SIFE, NACE or other industry accreditations.
- Become familiar with requirements of rotating and E&I mechanical integrity programs.
