What will you'll be doing?
• Inventory Optimization: Develop and maintain inventory plans to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock, effectively balancing customer demand and inventory investment.
• Forecasting & Planning: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal factors to create accurate sales forecasts and generate purchase orders, leveraging both past performance and future projections.
• Merchandise Strategy: Support the development and implementation of comprehensive merchandise plans that align with overall business strategy and long-term goals.
• Assortment Planning: Create strategic assortment plans informed by market insights and future trends to optimize product offerings.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales, inventory, and margin to inform strategic decisions that enhance profitability and inventory efficiency.
• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on key performance metrics and strategic initiatives to senior management, providing actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Buying, Location Planning, and Allocation, to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, driving continuous improvement in merchandise planning processes and systems.
• Mentorship & Development: Mentor and support junior team members, offering guidance, sharing expertise, and fostering professional growth within the team.

• Education: Associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in retail planning and merchandising.
• Technical Skills: Highly skilled in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Communication: Excellent communication.
• Collaboration: Previous experience working effectively in a cross-functional environment.
