About The Job
The Laboratory Materials Management & Transport team leads, imports, exports, permits, and reagent management operations at multiple geographical Vaccines R&D sites globally. Our mission is to centrally manage purchasing & maintain inventories of reagents for specific projects, coordinate permits, shipments, & transportation of critical and non-critical reagents, and ensure compliant transport of materials to ensure quality and integrity from receipt through distribution to end-users across global Vaccines R&D sites and Contract Research Organizations (CROs). Our goal is to improve the quality & agility of Vaccines R&D operations while simultaneously reducing compliance & operational demands on scientific & technical staff to advance projects along the pipeline and ultimately bring vaccines to market to rapidly address unmet medical needs. Main Responsibilities:
- As a logistician, the person in this role will support R&D Shipments needs at multiple sites globally with the goal of reducing processing times and input time required from scientific staff
- These logistics activities could include but are not limited to formatting and drafting of shipping request forms, customs invoices, government declarations and communications with the site logistics team
- Lead initiatives to optimize and streamline Laboratory Materials Management & Transport (LMMT) processes across Vaccines R&D sites globally
- Implement and manage digital tools to enhance efficiency in shipping, reagent management, and/or preclinical vendor management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, training materials, and process maps, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
- Act as subject matter expert for complex shipment and reagent management issues, providing expertise and guidance as required
- Support project planning, budgeting, and risk assessment for LMMT-related initiatives
About You
- Experience: a few years of relevant experiencein Supply Chain & Logistics operations (inbound/outbound flows); willing to consider applicants with fewer years of experience if skills are closely aligned with job requirements
- Soft and technical skills: Proficiency in digital tools development and implementation
- Experience working in cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
- Proven communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Education: BS/BA Degree (4 year) or MS in sciences or supply chain/logistics
- Languages: Fluency in French and English required
